Negotiations are being conducted with the Interior Ministry on the fate of 400 refugees whose permits expired yesterday. Representatives of the refugees have wired to president Eduard Benes requesting extension of their permits and pointing out the “terrible fate” awaiting those who are forced to return to Austria.

two hundred Austrian Jews were arrested last week at Undenburg, on the Czechoslovak-Austrian border, it was learned here today. All but twenty of them will be returned to Austria.
