Czechs Order Expulsion of 1,200 Austrian Jewish Refugees

Great apprehension was felt today in Jewish circles regarding the fate of 1,200 Jewish refugees from Austria, most of them residing in Brno, who have been ordered to leave Czechoslovakia. The expulsion order was originally fixed for Oct. 7, But the deadline was postponed to Oct. 27.

Mrs. Schmolka Nagaress, of the Praha office of the HIAS-ICA Emigration Association, and Hannah Steiner left for London to intervene in behalf of the refugees.
