The Canadian Zionist Federation proclaimed yesterday “its full support for the new government that will assume power when it gains the confidence of the democratically and constitutionally elected Parliament of Israel.” That position was adopted in the form of a resolution approved by some 100 delegates at the close of a two-day meeting of the national executive of the Canadian Zionist Federation in Toronto.
The resolution added that “we shall continue to put forth every effort to assist the State in its attempts to achieve a just and lasting peace with its neighbors based on justice, equity and honor. We call upon all Jews and citizens of goodwill to join us in this great and noble task.” (By Michael Solomon)
