The possibility of trade relations between Israel and the French West African territory of Dahomey will come under study, the Dahomey Minister of Economic Affairs, D.R. Zinso, told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today.
He said that about ten students from Dahomey will come to Israel to study modern agricultural methods developed here, irrigation and soil conservation.
The West African official, who is a member of the French Senate representing overseas territories, is in Israel on a visit as a guest of the Government. He has had several discussions with Pinhas Sapir, the Israel Minister of Commerce and Industry. He said Dahomey could use Israel fertilizers, irrigation equipment and textiles and could provide Israel with palm oil.
