Leaders of the Danish church have submitted another memorandum to the Danish Minister of Justice, Protesting against the concessions which the Danish Government is making to the Nazi authorities with regard to the Jewish question, it was reported here today.
“Anti-Semitic propaganda,” the protest says, “is being artificially fostered. At the same time pastors receive warning from the Government that they must not comment on the persecution of the Jews.” The document warns the Minister that “serious tension has arisen over this question” and that it is necessary to take measures to restore the shaken confidence of the people in order to avert the danger of violent explosion.
