Funeral services were held today for David Caplan, who died here yesterday at the age of 84.
Mr. Caplan who came here from London in 1891 was one of the founders of the Hebrew Free Loan Society. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Friendly Inn and Aged Home, Immigrant Aid Society and Talmud Torah. He served as president of the Hebrew Free Burial Society and was active in Congregation of B’nai Israel and the Beth Israel Society.
Twenty-five years ago Mr. Caplan retired from the real estate business.
