David Karpinovich, a member of the editorial board of the Yiddish language daily, Letzte Neies, died here at the age of 62. A native of Vilna where he helped found the local Yiddish theater group, Mr. Karpinovich settled in Israel in 1957. He had been a member of the illegal Communist Party in Poland before World War II. When the war broke out he volunteered for the Red Army and saw action in the Soviet offensive from Stalingrad to Berlin. After the war Mr. Karpinovich worked for the Yiddish weekly, Folkstimme, in Warsaw.
