David Oppenheim, 72, president of the National Hebrew Culture Council, who championed the introduction of modern Hebrew in public schools and colleges throughout the United States, died here last night of a heart attack.
A prominent attorney, he was a member of the board of trustees of the Jewish Education Committee of New York, past president of the Long Island Zionist Region and an active leader of the America-Israel Public Affairs Committee.
