A large quantity of Dead Sea Scroll fragments has been found in the Rockefeller Museum located in the Old City of Jerusalem, it was reported today. Dr. Avraham Biran, director of the Israel Department of Antiquities, said the museum was being taken over by his department. Israeli officials also reported that a synagogue mosaic floor dating back to the fifth or sixth century was discovered in the basement of a house in Jericho.
