Former Secretary of State Dean Acheson sharply criticized Israel today as being “inflexible” on the Arab refugee problem from the earliest days of its Statehood. Mr. Acheson appeared on the nationally televised ABC program “Issues and Answers.” He said that as Secretary of State during the Truman Administration, he had envisaged later difficulties arising from the refugee problem but that the Israelis would not heed his advice.
