A health center erected by the Oze, society for protecting the health of the Jewish population, was dedicated here on Sunday.
Prime Minister Valdemaras, the Minister of the Interior, the Mayor of Kovno, delegations from neighboring cities, the Kovno University and the municipality were present.
The center was erected at a cost of $50,000 and has been named after Dr. Frumkin.
A building has been acquired in Benton, III. for a Jewish community center.
The building will be re-modeled and fully equipped to serve as a center for the Jewish residents of Murphysboro, Marion, Herrin, Johnston City, West Frankfort, McLeansboro, Centralia DuQuoin, Christopher, Ziegler, Valier and Belleville.
