Exercises were held dedicating the new Labor Sanatorium, in Colony Motza, near Jerusalem. The exercises marked the completion of the second floor of the Sanatorium. Participating in the exercises were Perelson, representing the “Kupatcholim,” Sick Benefit Institution; Harzfeld, member of the Labor Executive; Henrietta Szold of the Zionist Executive; Dr. Yassky of the Hadassah staff; Dr. Rosenthal, Director of the Sanatorium, and M. M. Ussishkin, head of the Jewish National Fund. Mr. Ussishkin planted a cypress near the tree planted by Theodore Herzl which was cut down by the Turks during the war. He called for the building not only of a new Palestine but of a better system of society and social justice, in fulfillment of Dr. Herzl’s wish.
