“Chamishah Asar B’Shvat,” the “New Year of the trees in Palestine,” will be celebrated Sunday afternoon by the children of the Temple Society of Concord Religious School with the dedication of two trees in memory of Louis Marshall, Jewish leader, and Louis Cantor, chief sanitary engineer in Palestine, who recently died there. The two men were both born and raised in Syracuse, and were members of the Temple. The two trees will be planted in their honor early in spring on the Temple Society of Concord grounds.

Mrs. Louis J. Bragman, principal of the school, and Rabbi Benjamin Friedman, will direct and supervise the ceremonial exercises.
