A demand that Fascist anti-Jewish incitement in England be ended in the face of imminent war is made in an editorial in tomorrow’s London Jewish Chronicle. “The Jews, engaged in a great struggle–especially the Jews fighting and falling at the front–should have the right to be free of threats and revilings of mischievous tubthumpers,” the editorial declares. Pointing out that even Poland has cheered Jewish ex-servicemen, the paper appeals to the Fascists to halt their campaign if they do not wish to present an “utter lack of patriotism and treacherous indifference to the country’s cause.”
