Special heavy taxes on German Jews were demanded today by the Deutsche Zeitung, organ of Dr. Robert Ley, leader of the Nazi Labor Front.
“As guests of the German nation, the Jews must be made to pay higher taxes,” the newspaper declared. Dr. Ley’s paper also is carrying a series of signed articles on the Jewish residential districts in Berlin, alleging that Jewish men and women are still extravagantly dressed.
The Deutsche Zeitung today initiated a movement to prohibit Jews from dealing in second hand clothes.
