The Interior Ministry today ordered immediate registration of all Jews who have been deprived of their Rumanian citizenship under the royal decree for revision of naturalizations held by Jews. All those denaturalized will hence forth be treated as foreigners, the ministry announced, must apply to the police for extension of residential permits and will be stricken from the military conscription lists. Although no official final figures have yet been released, unofficial estimates place the number of denaturalized at more than 300,000 in an estimated population of 900,000 Jews.
