The Polish minister of cults today denied a sensational report in the Juedische Tageblatt, the organ of the Agudath Israel, that the Polish government intends to dissolve the council and executive of the Warsaw Jewish community and replace them by a government superintendent who would manage the community’s affairs.
Following the publication of the sensational report the Jewish Telegraphic Agency inquired as to its veracity from Herschel Farbstein, president of the community and a member of parliament. Deputy Farbstein then interviewed the minister of cults who assured him that the report was absolutely unfounded.
