Deny Pope Invited Hitler to Call at Vatican

Both German sources and the office of the Nuncio today formally and officially denied reports that through Mgr. Orsenigo, Pope Pius XI had invited Chancellor Adolf Hitler to call at the Vatican when he visits Rome next month. It was considered increasingly improbable that the Pope and the German Chancellor would meet during that visit.
