Deportation proceedings against Ferenc Vajta, 33 year-old Hungarian accused of being a Nazi, are expected to begin here soon. Officials here said that he had violated the immigration laws and is suspected of being a war criminal.
Last week, the United Hungarian Jews of America, speaking in behalf of its 24 affiliated organizations, appealed to President Truman, the State Department and the Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization, demanding that Vajta be expelled from the country. The Justice Department said that he entered the country through false statements.
