Despite a bomb threat hoax and a number of threatening and profane telephone calls to TV House, the screening of controversial “Hirbet Hiza” went off smoothly Monday night. After the show hundreds of viewers phoned in, according to TV officials, expressing the full range of differing opinions that have been reflected during the public debate over the film. Professional critics generally gave the film–an Israeli TV production–high marks for quality on a technical and artistic level.
