Detailed plans for the erection of the first farm-city in Palestine have been received here at the office of the Keren Kayemeth, on whose land the city is to be built. A spot south of Nathania has been chosen for the new type of development, which was suggested by Professor Alexander Klein, an architect and authority on town-planning.
Two hundred and forty-two British participants in the planned city have already reserved building space. Among the community buildings to be provided are a center which will house a synagogue, a public hall, a cinema, a school and a kindergarten. Space for sports will be part of the building grounds. The southern end of the city is to be the business district and will include small markets, central stores, an agricultural cooperative and small building sites for offices. A small medical center and a restaurant are also planned for this area.
