A memorial meeting in tribute to the late Moshe Sharett, former Prime Minister of Israel, was held here by the Detroit Jewish Community tonight. Dr. Samuel Krohn, president of the Detroit Jewish Community Council, and Morris Lieberman, chairman of the city’s Zionist Council, served as co-chairmen of the meeting.
They called the gathering an “expression of the esteem in which Mr. Sharett was held by all those who were touched by his vision of a free and secure Israel, living at peace with its neighbors, and contributing its own historic insights and values to the common concerns of the family of nations. “
