Detroit Jews will be asked to make an annual contribution of $10,000 for five years, raising a quota of $50,000 in the Ort campaign which will open at a banquet at Hotel Fort Wayne on Sunday evening, May 12. Dr. A. Singalowski, B. C. Vladeck, chairman of the national tools and material campaign and S. Niger, will be the speakers.
The Detroit committee in charge of the campaign is headed by Solomon Schkloven as chairman, with Joseph Bernstein as treasurer.
Plans for a campaign to raise $75,000 to equip the remodeled Jewish Hospital and the new Bernheim addition. Louisville, Ky., have been completed, following a meeting of the board of directors. The improvements, which provide for an increase in capacity to approximately 100 beds are expected to be completed by August 1.
