When Dr. Judah L. Magnes, chancellor of the Hebrew University, and Dr. Max Schloessinger, associate chancellor, are honored at a reception on Tuesday, May 15, at the Hotel Waldorf-Astoria, Professor John Dewey of Columbia University will deliver an address of welcome on behalf of American scholars.
The American Friends of the Hebrew University will extend their greetings through Dr. A. S. W. Rosenback, president of the organization, which is sponsoring the reception. Roger W. Straus, member of the American board of governors of Hebrew University, is chairman, and Felix M. Warburg is honorary chairman. The entire program will be broadcast over an NBC hookup.
Leaders in the community are expected to attend the function.
