Diana Aviv, the vice president for public policy at the United Jewish Communities and the group’s chief Washington lobbyist, will leave her post in June. Aviv, who heads the UJC’s Washington office, is moving to serve as president and CEO of Independent Sector, a coalition of foundations and nonprofit groups. She told JTA she was leaving to take advantage of an opportunity to do some “transformative” work.
