Martin Dies, chairman of the House Committee on Un-American Activities, today called on the Government to take action against foreign agents and supporters of totalitarian forms of government in the United States, in an address to the convention of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Representative Dies asked the Government to prosecute foreign agents not complying with the law for registration of such agents; discharge Communists and Fascist-minded from the Government; give “full publicity” to all subversive organizations, making them file semi-annual reports with the Secretary of State showing officers, members, contributions and expenses. He urged an active campaign against alien enemies, requiring the full cooperation of all Federal departments.

Meanwhile, Representative J. William Ditter (Rep.,Pa.) introduced a bill to prohibit receipt of compensation from foreign governments by persons in the United States for publicity or propaganda.
