Chairman Martin Dies of the House Committee Investigating Un-American Activities declared today that his committee needed at least $150,000 and two years’ time to investigate financing of Nazi and Fascist activities by “certain high industrialists.”

The assertion was made in reply to a letter from Charles r. Hook, president of the National Association of Manufacturers, who said the charge that industrialists were financing Nazis without mention of names “must inevitably be a reflection on all industrialists.”
