The Prussian Diet declined to rebuke Leopold Jessner, well known German Jewish theatrical producer and superintendent of the State theatre, as anti-Semitic leaders in the Diet had demanded.

The main committee of the Prussian Diet had adopted a resolution of lack of confidence in Jessner, following charges which were presented that his views on the theatre “endanger the moral standard.”

The Diet yesterday defeated the resolution when it came up for vote.
