Promulgation of the second anti-Jewish law will be considerably delayed, it appeared today, because of differences between the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies with regard to amendments offered by the former. A joint commission of the lower house yesterday rejected the principal amendments added to the bill by the Senate.

If the Chamber also rejects the amendments, as is expected, it will necessitate calling of joint commission sittings of both houses to be followed by joint plenary sessions. If an agreement is not reached then, the text of the bill as originally voted by the lower house will be submitted to Regent Nicholas Horthy for final decision. It is believed in some political circles, however, that the Chamber of Deputies will be dissolved before this stage is reached, leaving final action on the bill to the new lower house.

Dr. Armin Pataki, head physician of the Municipal Hospital at Szekesfehervar, committed suicide by taking an overdose of morphine because he feared for the fate of his children and grandchildren under the pending law. He was 86 years old.
