Diplomatic Corps Visits President Ben Zvi to Mark New Year

Heads of the foreign diplomatic missions here, led by United States Ambassador Edward B. Lawson, visited President Itzhak Ben Zvi today to felicitate the Government officially on the occasion of the Jewish New Year. Prime Minister David Ben Gurion, Foreign Minister Golda Meir, and other senior officials of the Foreign Ministry were present.

Speaking on behalf of the entire diplomatic corps, as its acting dean, Mr. Lawson extended to President Ben Zvi and, through him to the Israeli people, sincerest wishes for the New Year. Mr. Lawson expressed the hope of the diplomatic corps that Israel would progress further in its peaceful relations “with the family of nations.”
