A black-tie audience of members of the diplomatic corps, Government officials and many other Washington notables attended a premier showing tonight of an Israeli-produced film, “They Were Ten. ” The Israel Embassy sponsored the showing in observance of Israel Independence Day.
The event was the first of a series commemorating the holiday in Washington. The America-Israel Society will be host tomorrow to 500 guests at an Independence Day luncheon. Many members of Congress are expected to take note of the event tomorrow on the House and Senate floors.
