Diplomats stationed in Warsaw visited today the Jewish Historical Institute to attend an exhibition on the struggle and fall of the Warsaw Ghetto, in memory of the 19th anniversary of that revolt, according to information received here.
In another phase of the commemoration, a photographic exhibit on life in the ghetto before the uprising was opened in the conference hall of the Jewish Cultural Association in Warsaw. Later today, foreign delegations participated in the laying of wreaths at the Memorial to the Ghetto Martyrs. Tonight, a mass meeting was held in the National Theater. The Ida Kaminska Yiddish State Theater will commemorate the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising with a performance tomorrow night.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews announced that a mass meeting on the anniversary will be held in St. Pancras Town Hall, in London, on April 29.
