Several hundred applicants for preferential visas within Poland’s immigration quota have arrived here from various parts of the country. Wide disappointment was caused when it was learned that the United States Consul in Warsaw has delayed the application of the new immigration regulations, giving preference within the quota to certain relatives of United States citizens and declarants. The applicants believed that the new regulations would come into force on October 1.
