A discharged Arab policeman has been arrested in Jaffa as a suspect in the attempted murder of Police Captain F. M. Scott of Tel Aviv who was stabbed yesterday in Jaffa during a scuffle with an Arab crowd following the execution of three Arabs at Acre. It is believed that the former policeman swore vengeance against Scott because the latter dismissed him and availing himself of yesterday’s turmoil stabbed Scott.
Captain Scott’s condition is reported as unchanged but not serious. The Moslem-Christian Society of Jaffa has written a letter to the police disassociating itself from the crime.
