Demolition and dismantling work was resumed today at Pri’el in the Yamit area and other villages after local formers had at first prevented Jewish Agency workers from operating their cranes to-pull houses down in preparation for their transportation and reconstruction in other replacement villages inside Israel proper.
The formers at first blocked the work on the grounds that the size of their financial compensation had not yet been finalized. But they agreed when their representatives went to Jerusalem for a meeting with Premier Menachem Begin, whose decision on the matter they said they would accept.
