Jewish members of the dissolved Jerusalem municipal council said today that they would refuse to cooperate with the inquiry commission named to probe the administrative machinery of the city, until they were reinstated in their posts.

At the same time, the Arab councillors issued a statement denying that they had agreed to any part of the rotation plan. Meanwhile, the five-man British commission named to administer the city’s affairs began work today.
