More than 100 scholarships worth $500 each are being offered to displaced physician by the Joint Distribution Committee under a plan aimed at helping DP doctors made a rapid adjustment to their new homelands, it was announced here today, Eligible for grants under the plan are Jewish physicians who have rendered one year of outstanding service with J.D.C.’s medical department in the DP camps of Germany and Cyprus.
