The sum of $50,000 in gifts ranging from $200 to $5,000 was distributed by Philip Weinstein, retired manufacturer, in honor of the recovery of his wife from a serious illness.
Announcement of the gifts was made Tuesday night by Mr. Weinstein, at a dinner in his home, 246 West End Ave., to the officers of the institutions benefited. Among those who received contributions were: Home of the Daughters of Jacob, Beth Israel Hospital. Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, the Jewish Agency for Palestine.
