District of Columbia Bans Discrimination in Employment

The government of the District of Columbia yesterday issued an order terminating segregation and discrimination in most phases of municipal employment. The order specifies that there should be no discrimination because of “race, religion, color, ancestry or national origin” in the use of District public buildings or administration of District government functions.
