Attempts made this morning to repeat yesterday’s disturbance in Nablus were quelled by security forces and two demonstrators were injured in today’s disturbance. Two policemen were injured when stones were thrown at them by secondary school pupils, and the demonstrators were hurt during the dispersal of the demonstration.
The Mayor refused to call for order, saying this was the task of the military governor. The governor brought calm to the town after using water hoses, bursts of shots in the air, truncheons and armored cars. The town was-protesting against the illegal settlement in Sebastia.
