A TOMBSTONE WAS UNVEILED HERE THIS AFTERNOON ON THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEATH OF MAYOR MEIER DIZENGOFF. REPRESENTATIVES OF JEWISH GROUPS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY PARTICIPATED IN THE CEREMONIES. HEBREW NEWSPAPERS DEVOTED EDITORIALS TO THE TRIBUTE OF MR. DIZENGOFF.
AFTER THE UNVEILING OF THE TOMBSTONE MANY PASSED BEFORE MR. DIZENGOFF’S GRAVE. THE LATE MAYOR WAS EULOGIZED BY MAYOR ISRAEL ROKACH AND TEL AVIV’S CHIEF RABBIS AT SERVICES IN THE GREAT SYNAGOGUE.
