A resolution to form a world Jewish physicians organization was adopted today by the 300 delegates to the First World Congress of Jewish Physicians, which entered its second day here.
The congress also discussed establishment of a full medical faculty at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Greetings were given by Dr. Hugo Bergmann, rector of the university, and Moshe A. Amiel, chief rabbi of Tel Aviv. A formal invitation to the second congress in Paris was read.
The parley, which was called to combat discrimination against Jewish physicians and review health conditions among the Jews, is scheduled to move to Jerusalem where its hosts will be the Jewish Agency for Palestine, the Jewish National Fund, the Palestine Foundation Fund and the Hebrew University.
Dr. Henry Keller, of New York, who spends several months a year in Jerusalem as director of a clinic for crippled children, has been authorized to represent American Jewish physicians at the congress.
Other subjects scheduled to be discussed are the situation of Jewish doctors in Germany and a proposal to survey sanitary conditions of Jews throughout the world.
