“Truth” has received a letter from Lord Alfred Druglas which the editor writes he has not quite the courage either to publish or to “suppress”. The substance of it is that he does not quarrel with the verdict of the Jury because it was the fault of his counsel who did not follow his instructions or use his material for cross-examination; that he adheres to all he has said about the Battle of Jutland; and that he hopes to establish its truth in an action against the “Jewish Guardian” “Truth”, seems calculated to bring “Truth” into collision with Lord Alfred’s counsel and all the principal witnesses on the other wide, and possibly into a contempt of court. It will be safer, it concludes, to wait until the action against the “Jewish Guardian” is dispoed of.
