Dov Joseph Announces Resignation of Ministry of Justice Portfolio

Dr. Dov Joseph, Israeli Minister for Trade and Industry and for Justice, today announced that he had resigned the Justice portfolio. Speaking at the cornerstone laying ceremony for a lawyers club here, the Minister revealed that he had requested Premier David Ben Gurion to relieve him of the Justice post.

The club, a four story building, will be located opposite the Z.O.A. House. Among the decorations of the huge halls and the libraries will be panels bearing the names of famous Jewish lawyers and jurists including the late Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court Louis Brandeis and the late Mordecai Eliash, famed Israeli advocate and first Israeli Ambassador to Washington.
