Dozens of women’s-rights activists demonstrated outside the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, protesting their scant representation in the new Israeli government. Environment Minister Dalia Itzik, the only woman among the 32 ministers and deputy ministers in the government, told the demonstrators Sunday that Barak had promised her he would appoint additional women to Cabinet posts.
