Members of the council of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in Germany opened a two-day conference today at Berchtesgaden to discuss the increased responsibilities which the Committee will have to assume with the liquidation of UNRRA next week, and the failure of the IRO to get into operation.
About 2,000 displaced Jews yesterday attended the dedication of a monument on the site of the Pocking Camp to the thousands of Jews who perished there during the Nazi regime. The camp is located about 40 miles from Munich. The monument is a simple marker in the center of the former camp area.
