The DP immigrant vessel General Howze, which is scheduled to dock in New York tomorrow, will bring the 100,000th DP to arrive under the Displaced Persons Act of 1948, it was announced by the International Refugee Organization.
The total number of Jewish immigrants who arrived since the beginning of operations under the DP Act is over 25,000, Jewish organizations here declared. HIAS aided over 11,700 of the immigrants, while the United Service for New Americans assisted more than 13,000.
