Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, chairman of the American section of the Jewish Agency and of the American Zionist Emergency Council, today sent a wire to President Truman expressing the “profound gratitude” of the Zionist movement in this country to him for the action of the Export-Import Bank in granting a loan to Israel. The Council represents all official Zionist bodies in the United States.
