Dr. Adler Heads 43 American Non-zionist Agency Members

Dr. Cyrus Adler, acting chairman of the Council of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, who sailed last night to attend the meetings of the Administrative Committee and Council of the Jewish Agency at Basle, announced through the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the American non-Zionist nominating committee has reported the election of 43 Americans as the non-Zionist members of the Council from the United States. This country is entitled to a representation of 44 such members, and an invitation has been extended to the forty-fourth member.

The 19 of the 43 who are from New York are the following: David M. Bressler, David A. Brown, Dr. Lee K. Frankel, Sidney Hillman, Samuel H. Hofstadter, Joseph C. Hyman, Dr. Leo Jung, Judge Edward Lazansky, Alexander Kahn, Judge Irving Lehman, Dr. Emanuel Libman, Dr. Solomon Lowenstein, James Marshall, Henry Morgenthau, J., Rabbi Samuel Schulman, A. I. Shiplacoff, Hugh Grant Straus, Felix M. Warburg and Israel Unterberg.

The 24 outside of New York are the following: Dr. Cyrus Adler, Philadelphia; Max Adler, Chicago; James H. Backer, Chicago; Dr. Jacob Billikopf, Philadelphia; Louis J. Borinstein, Indianapolis; Edward M. Chase, Manchester, N. H.; Dr. Solomon SolisCohen, Philadelphia; James Davis, Chicago; Meyer Elsasser, Los Angeles; Judge Eli Frank, Baltimore; Harold Hirsch, Atlanta; Rabbi David Lefkowitz, Dallas; Monte M. Lemann, New Orleans; Albert H. Lieberman, Philadelphia; Dr. Jacob G. Lipman, New Brunswick; Simon Lyon, Washington, D. C.; Edwin B. Meissner, St. Louis; Dr. Julian Morgenstern, Cincinnati; A. L.
