Dr. Cyrus Adler, president of Dropsie College, warned delegates at the second day’s session of the National Conference on Jewish Welfare Friday that the Jewish religion cannot maintain itself on an emotional basis alone.
The meeting was held in the Community House of Congregation Emanu-El, 1 East Sixty-first street, under auspices of the National Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds. The topic under discussion when Dr. Adler, who was presiding, issued his warning, was the development of Jewish cultural activities in the United States.
